Daniel Carvalho

DOHA - Brazilian international Daniel Carvalho has joined Qatari club Al Arabi from Russian side CSKA Moscow, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) said on Monday.

Attacking midfielder Carvalho, who became the first foreigner to win the Russian League player-of-the-year award in 2005, claimed the last of his three caps in 2006.

The 26-year-old joined CSKA in 2003, and was instrumental in the Russian side winning the 2005 UEFA Cup where they beat Portugal's Sporting in the final.
